Good point. It seems like the best solution is to have electric cars that can run on electricity from a grid that is powered by multiple sources of electricity.
Problem is we don't yet have a battery good enough to replace the internal combustion engine.
Modifying gasoline powered cars to run on natural gas shouldn't be a huge problem. The real cost is in having the infrastructure to fuel up on the road.

On the surface, it sounds good - but where is my natural gas automobile?
