plazma sounds great, but the overall energy efficiency is not clear. It may be that more basic technologies, albeit at lower temperatures, provide more cost effective energy production. Plazma may be good for the mega plant (say a coal processing plant) while more prozaic technologies (good old combustion) may be good for smaller more regional installations.
